Ik heb geen politieke voorkeur. ”Belasting omhoog”, ”Stufie afschaffen” en ”Geen cultuur” is het enige wat ik opmaak uit hun langdradige en saaie verhalen. Stemmen is dan ook een ware ramp voor mij. Ik ben voor niemand. Geen enkel plan klinkt als een goed idee. En als ik dan een standpunt zie waar ik het mee eens ben, staat daarnaast een standpunt waar ik fel tegen ben. Duizenden stemwijzers heb ik gemaakt. De ene keer komt er GroenLinks uit, de andere keer Partij voor de Dieren. Er kwam zelfs een keer ChristenUnie uit!(mensen die mij een beetje kennen weten dat ik alles behalve gelovig ben). Wat ik vervolgens doe is aan iedereen vragen op wie ze gaan stemmen. Achteraf heb ik hier altijd spijt van. Ik kom terecht in ongevraagde discussies. ”Nee je mag echt niet op PvdA stemmen, dat zijn echt eikels!”, ”Als je op Wilders stemt, dan weet ik niet of ik nog met je om kan gaan”. Dit zijn gesprekken waar ik uiteraard niet op doelde.

En toen was daar Leslie Knope. Slim, hilarisch en zeer gedreven. Vanaf het moment toen ze twee mannelijke pinguïns trouwde was ik verkocht. Dit is degene waar ik op wil stemmen! Helaas is ze fictief. Why does this keep happening to me?! Ach ja, ze blijft fantastisch. In de serie Parks and Recreation wil Leslie graag burgemeester worden van Pawnee, het kleine(wederom fictieve) dorpje waar de serie zich in afspeelt.

In de afgelopen aflevering heeft Leslie campagnefilmpjes gemaakt. Er wordt hierin heel duidelijk uitgelegd waar Leslie precies voor staat. En dat zijn maar liefst 118 dingen! Ik heb ze even voor je op een rijtje gezet.
